Meet Professor Hannah Dahlen

Hannah Dahlen AM

Professor Hannah Dahlen AM is one of Australia's most distinguished midwives and researchers, with over 35 years of clinical and academic experience. A Professor of Midwifery and Research Director at Western Sydney University, Hannah is widely recognised as a leading force in promoting midwife-led care, women's rights in childbirth, and evidence-based maternity practice.


With over 300 published research papers and a global reputation for translating science into practice, Hannah brings exactly the kind of rigorous, clinically grounded expertise that Beyond Fertility Frontiers was built to champion. She is the co-founder of the Australian Birth Experience Study (BESt), a past National President of the Australian College of Midwives, and was awarded a Member of the Order of Australia in 2019 for her services to midwifery and health education.

Hannah keeps women and families at the centre of everything she does.
